There are a variety of nursing home staff positions that work together to provide care for residents. Each position has different responsibilities, but all are important in ensuring that residents receive the best possible care.

The most common types of nursing home staff at Accura HealthCare include:

Registered nurses (RNs):

RNs are responsible for providing direct medical care to residents. They also develop and implement care plans, coordinate with other staff members, and provide education to residents and their families.

Certified nurse assistants (CNAs):

CNAs provide primary care and assistance to residents, such as bathing, dressing, and ambulating. They also perform tasks such as taking vitals and providing meals.

Physical therapists (PTs):

PTs develop and implement rehabilitation programs for residents with physical disabilities or limitations.

Occupational therapists (OTs):

OTs develop and implement rehabilitation programs for residents who have cognitive or physical disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform activities of daily living.

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs):

SLPs assess and treat residents with difficulty communicating due to cognitive impairments, physical disabilities, or both.

Dietitians:

Dietitians develop individualized meal plans for residents based on their nutritional needs. They also educate residents’ family members about nutrition and diet.
